Privacy Policy
Swift PDF Scanner by KasparApps
Effective date: August 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Swift PDF Scanner ("the App"), developed by KasparApps ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you use the App.
1. Documents and files
Swift PDF Scanner allows you to scan documents, import images, recognize text, create PDF files, create Excel reports, organize documents, and share files.
Your scanned documents, imported images, generated PDFs, OCR text, and document metadata are stored locally on your device.
KasparApps does not operate a remote document-storage server and does not receive copies of your scanned documents or OCR results.
2. Document scanning and image processing
The App uses on-device technologies, including Google ML Kit and Google Play services, to provide document scanning, image processing, edge detection, perspective correction, and certain text recognition functionality.
According to Google, input data processed by ML Kit APIs, such as images and text, is processed on the device and the input data and resulting output are not sent to Google servers for ML processing.
ML Kit may nevertheless send technical information to Google, including information about the device, application, API usage, feature initialization, performance, errors, model versions, and similar diagnostics and usage metrics. ML Kit may also contact Google services to obtain models, updates, bug fixes, or compatibility information.
3. OCR text recognition
OCR functionality is designed to operate locally on the device. Recognized text can be used for document search, text export, Excel reports, and searchable PDF files.
OCR text and document images are not intentionally uploaded to a KasparApps server for recognition.
4. Camera and photo access
The App may access the camera or allow you to select images from your device when you choose to scan or import a document.
Access is used only to provide the scanning and importing functions requested by you.
Where supported, the system document scanner and Android system photo-selection mechanisms are used so that access can be limited to the content you choose.
5. Advertising
Swift PDF Scanner displays advertising using Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK).
Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect or process information such as:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- application and advertising interactions;
- app launches, taps, and ad interactions;
- diagnostic and performance information;
- Android Advertising ID and other device or app identifiers.
This information may be used by Google for advertising, measurement, analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
Data handled by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is transmitted using encrypted connections.
For more information about Google's privacy practices, please see:
6. Advertising consent and privacy choices
The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) where applicable to request and manage advertising privacy choices.
Depending on your region and applicable law, you may be presented with options relating to personalized advertising, non-personalized advertising, storage, identifiers, and other advertising purposes.
Available privacy choices may vary depending on your location and Google's advertising requirements.
7. Sharing documents
The App allows you to share PDFs, images, OCR text, Excel reports, and other exported content through Android's system sharing functionality.
Files are shared only when you initiate a sharing action.
When you choose another application or service to receive a file, that third party's privacy policy and data practices apply.
8. Accounts
Swift PDF Scanner does not require you to create a KasparApps account to use its core document scanning functionality.
We do not maintain a server-side user account containing your scanned documents.
9. Data storage and retention
Documents and related App data stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, permanently remove them from the App where applicable, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App.
KasparApps does not retain server-side copies of your local documents because the App does not upload those documents to a KasparApps document-storage service.
Data processed independently by third-party services such as Google may be retained according to those providers' policies and legal obligations.
10. Deleting your data
You can delete documents using the App's document-management features.
Documents placed in the App's trash can be permanently deleted using the available deletion controls.
You may also remove locally stored App data through Android system settings or by uninstalling the App.
Because Swift PDF Scanner does not maintain a KasparApps user account or remote document storage, there is no separate server-side document account that must be deleted.
11. Security
We design Swift PDF Scanner to minimize unnecessary transmission of document content and to keep document processing local where practical.
Third-party services used by the App may transmit technical or advertising information using encrypted network connections.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
12. Third-party services
Swift PDF Scanner may use third-party technologies including:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK;
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP);
- Google ML Kit;
- Google Play services;
- Android system sharing and file-selection services.
These services may process technical information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
13. International processing
Third-party providers used by the App, including Google, may process technical or advertising information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their applicable privacy practices and legal safeguards.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's features, third-party services, legal requirements, or privacy practices change.
When we update the policy, the effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated.
